Dr. Sheng-Cai LIN is currently a professor at the School of Life Sciences, Xiamen University. He graduated from Xiamen University in 1984, and received his Ph.D from University of Texas Southwestern medical Center at Dallas in 1991, and finished his postdoc training at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute University of California at San Diego. He then moved to IMCB Singapore, in 1995, and stayed for 6 years before moving to Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (2001 – 20016). He became dean of the School of Life Sciences Xiamen University in 2003, until 2017. He was elected as member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021.
